We invited Living Well and the Council Wardens to join our Wellbeing Warrior group to talk to us about the services available to support our health and wellbeing.

Living Well spoke to us about the services they link into including the BEEP, Stop Smoking Service, managing your mental health and eating well. One to one conversation were carried out and referrals made.
The Council Wardens were on hand to take blood pressure as part of the Healthy Heart Campaign and talk to us about the Neighbourhood Connect Service.
It was a very worthwhile afternoon, with ten blood pressure checks, referrals to BEEP, sign posting to Slimming World, Stop Smoking referral and several referrals to Neighbourhood connect.
This is what you told us –
Denise – Got more help than I expected, with a way forward for once I don’t feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall.
Richard – Found it all very interesting and a wide range of information.
Stephen – Very nice people and good to have my BP check to know I am ok as it’s difficult getting into the doctors. I have found out about some services available, it was easy for me to come to this session as it was at the centre I come to regularly and I know everyone and feel comfortable.
Sharon – I was able to talk to someone about what help is there to support me to stop smoking and was referred to the stop smoking team.

A big thank you to Gulsoom, Aamir and Asif for your help and support and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
The centre is closed next week for the Easter break and will reopen on Monday 28th April. Rethinking pain are with us Monday 28th April 1 -3pm talking about Your Story and why it’s important to pain management. Refreshments will be provided.
