It’s Thursday so what has Yorkshire Man Dan’s allotment group been up to today?
It started with seeds, seed trays and compost, yes that’s it we have started our seed planting for this year. Tomatoes, cucumbers, chilli’s, peppers onions leeks and cabbages have all gone in. Dan’s tip for a good crop, place the seeds in your hand and give them a word of encouragement before planting them a tried and tested method!
A team treasure hunt around the centre solving some cryptic clues, which involved some piano playing, thank you Stephen! Finished off with a favourite, allotment bingo.
We are now counting down the weeks for the better weather so we can take our activities outdoors to the allotment at Sunny Bank Road.
