We were a little shocked when we saw Dan's trailer full of branches for making a dead hedge, this was going to be on a much larger scale than the practice session we had! We confronted the sleet, rain, snow and sunshine and cracked on unloading all the branches from the trailer. In with some posts to mark the area then set to building the dead hedge.
It was worth all the hard work as we now have a dead hedge to attract wildlife for the community to enjoy.

Thanks to everyone who turned out in the bad weather to help including Jon & Maria our local community wardens.
The session ended with a well deserved award ceremony! Everyone now knows how to build a dead hedge!
