What a brilliant turn out to our Community Health Hub today at the centre. Over 27 people from our community came and took part in a health check which included blood pressure check, height and weight, bloods taken to check for cholesterol levels, diabetes etc, and follow on advice was given where needed. Many more were able to talk to people from the other services that attended the event.
Along side this we also ran our Monday Market 15 items for £5, we are back again next Monday from 9.30am with the Market.
We provided Leek and Potato Soup and a veggie curry along with drinks, toast, fruit loaf and crumpets so no one went away hungry.
Thank you to Bradford Bereavement, Diabetes Team, Cancer Research, NHS Social Prescribers, NHS Community Health Check Team, Alzheimer’s Society, Yorkshire Foot Care, NHS Mental Health team, Neighbourhood Wardens and Incommunities for coming along. Also thank you to everyone who supported this community event.
